Our herd’s heritage can be traced back to Custer State Park in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. It’s a lineage historically known for some of the most pristine bison. We’ve taken America’s best and brought it to the beautiful countryside of our hometown, Urbana, Ohio.

Pencil Bison Ranch is one of the premier bison ranching operations of Ohio. As a proud member of the National Bison Association, the health of our herd and loyal customers is our top priority.

To keep our high health standards, we only raise all natural bison meat products—without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. Just as nature intended. Our locally raised herd is also ethically and humanely treated.
